The SEMVA project : a bridge between sport, education and European citizenship
An ambitious European project
The project “Sport and Education: Same Values” (SEMVA), initiated under the Erasmus+ program, aims to promote education and civic engagement among children aged 7 to 10 through innovative activities. Led by the SPUC Roller club in France, the Aux Couleurs du Deba association, and the Romanian school Scoala Gimnaziala, this project spans 18 months (2024-2025) and aims to combine pedagogy and sports through educational escape games.
An engaged partnership
Three entities with complementary expertise ensure the success of the project:
–SPUC Roller (Coordinator – France) : An association recognized in the field of skating sports, it will introduce children to roller and ice skating disciplines.
–Aux Couleurs du Deba (France) : Specialized in active pedagogy and inclusion, this association designs educational tools on various social themes.
–Scoala Gimnaziala (Romania) : A school located in a rural area, it promotes European citizenship and environmental education among its students.
A lasting impact
In addition to activities for children, the SEMVA project will produce an educational guide for teachers, youth workers and parents, to ensure that escapades are used as a lasting educational tool.
Volume 1 of the guide is part of the promotion of key skills defined by the European Union. In France, these skills are based on a common foundation of knowledge and culture, while in Romania, they require an overhaul of educational approaches.
